The FIH confirms allotment of 2010 World Cup to India. AHF’s Executive Committee Meeting held in Hyderabad. KPS Gill attends.

India successfully defends the Junior Asia Cup in Hyderabad. July Ajit Pal replaces Aslam Sher Khan as Selection Committee Chairman. Four coaches sent to Beijing Olympics as observers. August Bengal Hockey Association organizes a seminar at Amby Valley. August The FIH and the IOA sign MOU in Beijing to conduct 2010 World Cup.
